For the 4th masterclass in this initiative aimed at providing guidance and professional training for choral singers and choir directors, the participants will be exploring the Contemporary Repertoire of the 20th and 21st century. The workshop will involve choristers from CGER – Coro Giovanile dell’Emilia-Romagna who will collaborate with Maltese conductors and choristers. The workshop will be lead by conductor Daniele Sconosciuto, didactic coordinator and member of the Board of Directors of the Association “Le Muse e il Tempo – Centro di formazione ricerca e didattica della musica” and AERCO.

 

All workshops are free of charge and available to a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-served basis

CONCERT

As part of this masterclass, guest choir CGER – Coro Giovanile dell’Emilia-Romagna will be presenting a concert of sacred music. The concert will explore the different unbounded harmonies from all around the world.

The modernist Church of the Risen Lord in Tarxien (also known as the Church of All Souls), was one of the first Modernist-inspired ecclesiastical buildings in Malta and it provides a fitting backdrop to the contemporary sacred repertoire that will be performed.
