Music Acoustic Performance
“Ave Maris Stella. Polifonia di voci e sirene”

As part of the celebrations for the Italian Republic Day, on 5 June 2022, at 20.00 the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Malta invite the citizens to the recording of an experimental musical event, entitled “Ave Maris Stella. Polifonia di voci e sirene”.
The Maestro Marco Mencoboni will direct the performance. Instrumentalists and singers will perform from boats moored in Valletta’s Grand Harbor (Quay Pinto 4/5). The repertoire will consist of compositions inspired by the Italian musical tradition.
The concert – free and open to the participation of interested citizens – will be preceded by the performance of the Italian National Anthem and will be audible in the Grand Harbour area and along the city of Floriana. In particular, the spaces of the King’s George Recreational Ground (located in front of the Embassy of Italy), at the left corner of the Upper Barraka Gardens, at the Telgha tal-Krucifiss, at the Herbert Ganado Gardens and along the section facing the Quay of Triq Girolamo Cassar.
