Within the Magic Box
It’s the second Tuesday of the month, it’s 6.30 pm, so it must be The Magic Box at the Italian Cultural Institute, an appointment you can’t miss! Continuing the programme, Dott. Porcheddu is delighted to present the topic of May: Un birrificio artigianale italiano a Gozo.
This month we give a warm welcome to Samuele D’Imperio, managing director of Lord Chambray, and to Andrea Bertola, Italian master brewer. It all started six years ago, when Samuele’s father decided to buy a property in Gozo, where the family had been spending their holidays for many years. A first class Italian Master Brewer, Andrea Bertola, was contacted and helped the D’Imperio family start the brewery. The beers they produce are of excellent quality, as they only use refined malted barley, a very good range of the finest hops, the best yeast and some fruits and spices. San Blas, one of the beers produced by this young brewery has already been awarded a “honourable mention”! So they are definitely doing very well! Samuele and Andrea will tell us much more about their beers and we might even be able to taste them while talking to them… We’ll also have some tasty treats, kindly provided by “The Submarine”, Valletta.
