The Malta Lace Competition/Exhibition

For the tenth year running, The Malta Lace Competition/Exhibition is being organised from the 28th November to the 1 December 2017.

This year, being the 10th anniversary, we are happy to announce that this important event in our calendar is being held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta.

Purpose of this organisation, headed by the Marquis Nicholas de Piro and coordinated by Margaret Farrugia, is to encourage all lace workers on both islands to continue producing lace which is of the highest standard, thus the competition with awards.

Apart from exhibiting all the lace items of this year’s entries, which have to be worked this year and never exhibited before, there will also be a section showcasing antique lace.

The public is invited to attend during the Italian Cultural Institute’s opening hours found hereunder: 

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 10.30 – 13.00 and 15.00 – 16.30
Thursday: 10.30 – 13.00 and 15.30 – 18.30
Friday: 10.30 – 13.30

Admission is free.
