Seminario di aggiornamento in didattica della lingua italiana

With Professors Angelo and Gaia Chiuchiù from the Accademia Lingua Italiana di Assisi

Italy and Malta have a lot in common since they share centuries of history. Today the Italian language is still highly widespread not only because of political-historical, cultural and social reasons, but also because of the geographical proximity and the intense economic exchanges between the two countries. While the Italian language in Malta is very popular, it is still essential to invest on it. The Department of Languages and Humanities Education within the Faculty of Education (University of Malta) is organising, in collaboration with Hoepli, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, the Ministry for Education and Employment MEDE and Agenda Bookshop, an In-Service teacher training Seminar for all teachers of Italian in State, Church and Independent schools in Malta. The seminar, which will be held on Saturday 13 February at the Waterfront Hotel in Sliema, will be led by Profs Gaia and Angelo Chiuchiù from the Accademia Lingua Italiana Assisi.

The event is addressed to Italian teachers but is open to all the people who love Italian. During the event new books; Hoepli multimedia texts and goWare e-book will be presented. Admission is free of charge and all participating teachers will receive a copy of In italiano. Il corso or a copy of Comunicare in italiano. The programme and the application form are available on the Accademia della lingua italiana di Assisi website http://www.aliassisi.it/en/. Anyone interested in participating is kindly requested to register, by not later than Friday 5 February.
