Collective exhibition of contemporary art – Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar

Inaugurated by Ms Astrid Vella, Coordinator FAA, in the presence of H.E. Ambassador of Italy Giovanni Umberto De Vito

This November Flimkien għal-Ambjent Aħjar, the heritage and environment NGO, will once again be bringing together some of the most interesting and vibrant names from Malta’s current art scene including Andrew Diacono, Sina Micallef Farrugia, John Grima, C. S. Lawrence and Harold Mallia.

Andrew Diacono is renowned as a sculptor, but also a painter of some consequence whose works reproduce the world we live in through spoof and pathos.

Sina Farrugia works in various media, with her preferred medium being ceramics. She has also produced many charcoal drawings of great intensity. Sina has taken part in many collective exhibitions and has also had a number of personal exhibitions both in Malta and internationally.

Harold Mallia will be exhibiting artifacts modeled from local wood that are created over a period of years wherein the wood is stabilized, treated and sealed over months, carved and finally polished using only natural oils and waxes.

The well-known Gozitan painter, sculptor and designer, John Grima, will be exhibiting several of his works. Grima has won several prestigious awards and has had numerous international and local personal exhibitions with works exhibited in various prestigious venues all over the world.

Caroline Said Lawrence’s artwork is
produced in a unique combination of mix media collage
and focuses mainly on portraits as well as in local landscapes.
