The Magic Box
It’s the second Tuesday of the month, it’s 6.30 pm, so it must be “The Magic Box” at the Italian Cultural Institute, a date you can’t miss! Continuing the programme, Dr Porcheddu is delighted to present the topic of September, “La Missione militare italiana a Malta ”.
This month we give a warm welcome to Colonel Luca Mariz. He will talk about the cooperation between the Italian Armed Forces and the Republic of Malta, which officially started on 1st August 1973 with the establishment of MICTM (Italian Technical and Military Cooperation Mission). On 1st December 2011the Missione italiana di collaborazione nel campo della difesa (MICCD) was established.
Colonel Pilot Luca Mariz will explain how this transition from technical assistance to cooperation in the field of defence has completely changed the Italian military effort and the terms of Italian cooperation.
