with Dott. Anna Porcheddu
La Scatola Magica
It’s the second Tuesday of the month, it’s 6.30 pm so it must be “The Magic Box” at the Italian Cultural Institute! Continuing the programme, Dr Porcheddu is delighted to present Michele Santeramo and the topic chosen for March, “Puglia traditional cuisine”.
After the beautiful walk through Palermo offered by Patricia Salomone last month, this evening we give a very warm welcome to Michele Santeramo, who will talk about traditional products from his own region, Puglia.
He will start by describing a very good olive oil, “Org. Olio”, which is the result of passion for the land, nature, authenticity and simplicity. It is a very prestigious oil, with the highest content of polyphenols, antioxidants which are fundamental to keep us in good health. It comes from Canosa di Puglia. In 2011 the producers of this oil were awarded the Gold 2011 prize, in Israel.
Michele will also present wines and some mouth-watering dishes, such as “orecchiette alle cime di rape”.
A glass of wine and some treats from Puglia, such as “taralli”, will conclude the evening.
