L’uomo che peso’ il mondo

The International Science Theatre Festival 2014.

The first edition of The International Science Theatre Festival within Science in the City, Malta will take place between the 26th and 28th September 2014, at The Presidential Palace Courtyard in Valletta.

In The Trials of Galileo, Tim Hardy – a professor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), veteran of The Royal Shakespeare Company and star of major European tours – will be exploring the first flowerings of scientific truth crushed by the bully church.

The Universe is a divine miracle Galileo, not a clockwork toy! ‘Proof’ denies faith, and without faith we are nothing.”

The play is written by Emmy Award winner Nic Young and is presented by the Icarus Theatre Collective from London.

The show starts at 20:00hrs at the Palace Courtyard, Valletta. Running time is 1hr 10min with no interval.

An hour of pure theatre, peering into the minds and in the everyday life of ‘scientific giants’.

The play is written by Italian actress Katia Capato and Pino Scicluna who together founded Nuove Cosmogonie Teatro in 2012.

The performance will be in the Italian language.
