Lecture by Prof. Vittorio Coletti
Vittorio Coletti is Ordinary Professor of History of the Italian Language, a branch of knowledge which he teaches at the University of Genova and which he has taught at the Universities of Trento and those of Paris VIII and Nice in France.
His studies concern the History of Italian Literature, especially the twentieth century.  He recently made reflections in his book Romanzo Mondo (il Mulino 2011) concerning globalization in the world of literature.   He also dealt with the common language used in various essays on neologisms and lost words, and more especially as co-author, with Francesco Sabatini, of the Dictionary of the Italian Language.  A lover of opera, he dedicated various essays and the book Da Monteverdi a Puccini  (Einaudi 2003) to opera librettos.
