On the occasion of the XIII Week of Italian Language in the World

Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy

The XIIIth edition of the Week of Italian Language in the World which this year carries the theme “Innovazione, ricerca, sviluppo: l’Italia dei saperi” (Research, Discovery, Innovation: Italy as a Country of Knowledge) is dedicated to the promotion of research and scientific culture and will be held between 14 and 20 October.  The meeting, organized together with the Malta Chamber of Scientists, in collaboration with the University of Malta and under the patronage of the Italian Embassy, intends to take stock of the Italian presence and added value within the prestigious Maltese Institution.

The event will be opened and addressed by the Ambassador of Italy, Giovanni Umberto De Vito, while Prof. Giuseppe Di Giovanni,  Professor of Physiology at the University of Malta, will moderate the interventions and present the ongoing collaboration between researchers of the two countries.

There will be interventions by professors/researchers of the Maltese University in various fields, from neurophysiology to forensic medicine, from geology, physics and chemistry to politics and economics and, of course, the Italian Language.
