Within Gaulitana: a Festival of Music
The Coro Lirico Siciliano was founded in 2008 and is now considered as one of the most important national choirs. Since its foundation, the choir has been conducted by Maestro Francesco Costa and is under the artistic direction of soprano Giovanna Collica.
The President of the choir is the controtenore Alberto Munafo’. The particular attention to the vocality and the versatility of its components allows the choir to perform both the particular, demanding, sacred symphonic repertoire and the strong traditional lyric repertoire. Formed by Artisti del Coro hailing from Sicily, the choir performs concerts, shows, lyric operas and is successful with public and critics alike.
The event is organized by Malta Tourism Authority within the Gaulitana Festival.
