Polyphony in music is a style of composition which combines two or more independent voices, vocal and/or instrumental, which simultaneously evolve in the course of the composition, keeping themselves different from each other from both the melodic and rhythmical point of view, even though they are ruled by harmonic principals. Schola Polifonica Romana performs within this musical context, in various concerts hosted by prestigious premises. Schola Polifonica Romana is conducted by Roberto Colavalle, the historic collaborator and musical assistant of the great Mo Armando Trovajoli.
