Writing the New Europe: Italian Publishers, Authors and Readers in the Digital Era
Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy
The theme of this year’s edition of the Italian Language Week in the World is Writing the New Europe: Italian Publishers, Authors and Readers in the Digital Era. On this occasion, the Italian Cultural Institute organized the activity Piccoli autori crescono…!. It was organized for students aged between 10 and 12 years who attend schools in Malta and Gozo, with the aim of promoting creative writing in the Italian language.
The students were asked to write, individually, a short story with a maximum length of one page, using 10 words out of the list provided and draw a picture to illustrate their story.
H.E. Ambassador Giovanni Umberto de Vito, who presided the panel of judges evaluating the short stories of the participants, will give out the prizes to the three students who wrote and illustrated the most creative stories.
