“Capolavori della Musica da Camera tra Classicismo e Romanticismo”

With Leonardo Micucci (violino), Roberto Mansueto (violoncello), Francesco Basanisi (pianoforte)

Refinement, inspiration, tension: these are the elements which best describe this excellent chamber music program, a symbolic trip through music history and the discovery of compositions written for the classical trio consisting of a violin, cello and a piano. The young musicians are widely recognized for their talent. Micucci and Mansueto both won various important contests, among which the most recent by Orchestra dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Basanisi, an eclectic pianist with a strong interest in chamber music, has already been praised for the passion and the professionalism which distinguish him.

The three young musicians studied at the Accademia dei Cameristi, a well-know institution in the Italian musical scene. The Accademia was founded in Bari in 1999, by a group of musicians with wide experiences, ranging from teaching to performing. Their aim is to offer young musicians the chance to recognize their own skills while playing with famous artists while performing in different theatres around the world.

The concert will be held at Verdala Palace, which has been made available  by kind courtesy of H.E. The President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca.
