The Magic Box
It’s the second Tuesday of the month, it’s 6.30 pm, so it must be “The Magic Box” at the Italian Cultural Institute, an appointment you can’t miss! Continuing the programme, Dr Porcheddu is delighted to present the topic of June: “Un italiano dietro la nazionale di calcio maltese ”.
This month we give a warm welcome to Pietro Ghedin, coach of the Malta National football team. Mr Ghedin is happy to be back in Malta, with the same job, as he still has beautiful memories of his first experience in Malta from 1993 to 1995, and was very pleased to be offered the job again by MFA. He will talk about his career as a football player, playing for, among the others, Catania, Fiorentina and Lazio, and his experience as coach for Italy Women National Football Team, and assistant coach for Italy Football team at the World Championship with Mr Maldini in 1998 and Mr Trapattoni in 2002 before he started coaching the Maltese team in 2012.
It will be an informal evening as usual, though, so questions are welcomed. Afterwards we’ll chat over a glass of wine and a little something. Everyone is welcome and entrance is free, but remember to come early to ensure a seat: football is a very popular topic both in Italy and in Malta!
