Musical compositions by M. Clementi, G. Martucci, C. Debussy and E. Grieg
Mario Panciroli was born in Milan and followed his musical studies at the G. Verdi Conservatorium of Music with Maria Gloria Ferrari (piano) and Luciano Chailly (composition). However, the most significant encounter of his musical education took place when he met famous French-Italian pianist Aldo Ciccolini, whose teaching had a profound influence over 16-year old Mario. During his career Mario Panciroli has given over 1,000 concerts, both as a soloist and with orchestras, in some of the most important concert halls in the world. He took part in several international Festivals (Festival Estival in Annecy, Besançon Festival, Festival de Piano in Aix-en-Provence, Grafenegg Schloss Konzert, Sommerkonzert di Gstaad, Dubrovnik Festival, Varna Festival). He has collaborated with directors among which Armin Jordan (Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), Lawrence Foster (Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo), Leos Swarovsky (Czech Philharmonic). Critics have admired his “brilliant virtuosity and performing style, qualities which, together with his extremely varied repertoire and the intelligent and original choice of music for his recitals, make of him an interpreter to follow with interest“ (H. Schonberg- N.Y. TIMES 1992). He has been teaching for several years in Italian Conservatories of Music and has held several Master Classes, both in Italy and abroad. One of his latest engagements was his recent debut in the prestigious Jokey Club Auditorium in Hong Kong.
