Within the week of the Italian Language in the Word
For the inauguration of the Italian Language Week in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute and the University of Malta Junior College have joined forces to organize a vocal and instrumental concert in the splendid “Peter Serracino Inglott” Auditorium. Hon. Minister for Education and Employment Evarist Bartolo and Italian Ambassador Giovanni Umberto De Vito have been invited for this special event.
The programme, made up of exclusively Italian music, will include musical pieces which vary from opera by Verdi, Mascagni and Puccini, to pastoral songs and to musical scores by Morricone, classic compositions and also modern songs.
The Junior College Orchestra conducted by Mro Manoel Pirotta will be accompanied by tenor Aldo Busuttil, soprano Danielle Ciantar and will be supported by St. Venera Choir, directed by Mro Joe Tanti.
