Concert “L’Italia che canta”

“Viaggio musicale tra follia e normalità”

An exciting journey through the performance of popular songs and well known operatic pieces of artists, composers, singers and songwriters which left a lasting influence on the Italian musical scene.

A musical journey through madness and normality that will take place on 20 October 2015 at Palazzo San Anton. The pianist Pape Gurioli and soprano Federica Balucani will perform songs which have a universal value for the public, performed in a musical project which represents folly as the antithesis to normality.

The majority of the programme is made up of mostly Italian music. Federica Balucani will sing the songs following the original composition, while Gurioli will accompany her with his unusual and particular piano playing technique.

Among the songs to be performed there are Volare and I’te vurria vasà. The concert is also meant to be a tribute to the English language and musical culture of the Mediterranean Europe.
