La Scatola Magica: “Narrativa e teatro italiano attraverso gli occhi di due triestini”

The event of this month is dedicated to Trieste, on the edge of Italy, at the centre of Europe. Going to Trieste is not easy. Reaching it is a real journey: the city seems to be far away from everything, poorly connected to the rest of Italy, away from the usual. Trieste is a capital city, it speaks its language (Trieste dialect), and it jealously respects a series of rules that only apply there. But if Italy ends in Trieste, it is also true that the air you breathe in the city where the Bora blows strongly is a different air, more mixed, an international atmosphere, already European. Alessandro Marinuzzi, theatre director, and Corrado Premuda, writer, both from Trieste, will tell us about their artistic journey that starts from Trieste, takes adventurous roads, and it eventually lands where it was born.

Alessandro Marinuzzi graduated in Theatre Direction at Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica “Silvio D’Amico”. He has studied in Italy, Belgium, France, and worked in Switzerland and Croatia and with Teatro Stabile Sloveno of Trieste.

Writer and journalist, Corrado Premuda is the author of books of fiction and non-fiction, theatre and radio texts and art catalogues. His latest book is Un pittore di nome Leonor. In 2000 he completed his studies in Malta with a scholarship offered by the Italian Ministry of  Foreign Affairs.

Alessandro and Corrado will be happy to answer any questions during their presentation or later on, over a glass of wine and some treats. Come and join us.
