“La Fiat 500: storia di un mito” with Captain Shawn Abela
This month Magic Box presents a 60th birthday celebration of the Fiat 500. The Cinquecento was the replacement for the much loved Topolino and became adored as Italy’s “people’s car”. In postwar Europe the people needed to be mobilised. Each country developed their own inexpensive small family runabout, each reflecting the national character. And does anything say Italian quite like the dazzling panache of the Fiat 500?
Today, 60 years later, the Fiat 500 is synonymous with Italian flair. Capturing the spirit and optimism of the time, it reflected the narrow streets and the busy and stylish lifestyle of the modernising and forward looking Italy.
Our guest, Captain Shawn Abela, will talk about Fiat 500, being a member of Classic Fiat 500 Group Malta, and a proud owner of a Fiat 500 himself… Needless to say all members have their old vintage version, and they love it!
Captain Shawn Abela will answer all our questions before concluding the evening, with us, over a glass of wine by Enocult and some treats by Miratur.
