To mark the UNESCO World Day for Commedia dell’Arte, the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta e ZARARTI Malta Cultural Association will present on Monday 25 February 2019, at 18:30, the special event “WHY COMMEDIA? WHY MALTA?”
Malta’s pioneer practitioner of Commedia, the well known actor Narcy Calamatta, will deliver a 30 minute talk in English WHY COMMEDIA? WHY MALTA?, tracing Commedia’s influence on the Maltese vernacular.
The ZARARTI’s Commedia troupe will enact a 15 minute performance in Maltese, in full costumes and masks of a scene from a Commedia Canavaccio.
Drinks and Pizza Arlecchina will follow.
The event will be held in English language.
