Being the\u00a0Cultural Office<\/strong><\/span> of the\u00a0Embassy of Italy in Malta<\/a><\/strong>, the Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta is part of the\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/a><\/strong>. Therefore, the Embassy\u2019s Cultural Attach\u00e9e is also the Director of the Institute.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Emblem of a heritage whose roots run deep into the Maltese islands, the Institute\u2019s primary mission is to\u00a0promote the Italian language, art and culture<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This translates into the organization and promotion of a number of events such as\u00a0exhibits<\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0concerts<\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0plays<\/strong><\/span>, and\u00a0conferences<\/strong><\/span>, but the Institute also aims at interacting with the whole network of universities, study centers and educational institutions \u2013 both in Malta and Italy \u2013 to encourage an ongoing and constructive dialogue.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Last but not least, the Institute also hosts a well-stocked\u00a0library<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with appox. 12.000 books our\u00a0members<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>can freely refer to and borrow.<\/p>\n
